Expanding the kitchen is a top priority for many homeowners, and in this project, we added a generous six feet across the back to create a more open, functional space. A sweeping set of picture windows now frames unobstructed views of the backyard, flooding the room with natural light. The addition of built-in banquette seating — a rising trend in kitchen design — offers both charm and increased seating capacity for family and guests. Quarter-sawn white oak accents on the hood and island bring warmth, durability, and timeless beauty, making this kitchen a perfect blend of form and function for a growing family.
