For over 60 years, Wood-Mode has been widely recognized for excellence in cabinet design, material selection, construction and finishes. Much of the credit is due to the many hand steps executed with pride by our dedicated craftspeople, using only the finest materials, woodworking skills, and the most advanced technology. The result is the highest quality cabinetry with an impressive range of styles, colors, woods, laminates, mouldings and hardware, so your design choices are virtually limitless.
The company produces two full lines of customized cabinetry under the Wood-Mode and Brookhaven names, each with a multitude of storage options. Both feature solid wood doors and multi-step finishing processes, and both are available in traditional framed construction—where the door is mounted on a front frame—and contemporary frameless construction—where there is no face frame so the door is mounted on the cabinet case itself.

When Wichita brothers Dan and Ron Henry founded Custom Cupboards in 1981, they had no idea it would grow as rapidly as it did. Their business plan was simple: build quality cabinets, and people are going to want to buy them. They didn’t even quit their day jobs at first, but worked in
the evenings to fill the orders that started trickling in from local builders. Word spread quickly though, and soon they had enough business to keep them busy as full-time cabinetmakers.
The company outgrew the original 3000-square-foot building after two short years, and outgrew its second building a few years after that. In early 1994, Custom Cupboards built its present location at 3738 S. Norman, with over 200,000 square feet and adjacent land for future planned expansions.
Today, Custom Cupboards has over 300 employees. We provide cabinets to a national network of over 180 business partners in 30 states. This means that finding a distinctive style for your kitchen, bath, office, or home has never been easier. Custom Cupboards offers you over half a million possibilities, with 9 wood choices, 120 door styles, and 600 colors to choose from.
We make a lot more cabinets now than we did in 1981, but our business plan hasn’t changed much: we still build quality cabinets, and people still want to buy them. Let Custom Cupboards build your next set of cabinetry and discover exceptional service, distinctive style, and impeccable craftsmanship.

Today, Koch & Co., Inc. employs 300 personnel manufacturing cabinets, custom wood doors, and the Formanek exterior door, maintaining the tradition and craftsmanship of the Koch Family. Koch & Co. is also proud to be a pioneer in the “Green” movement with the introduction of Koch Green Doors and Koch Green Cabinets.
